Kasula Chandrasekhar received the body
of his son Suryanarayana, murdered by the
Taliban, at the Begumpet airport,Hyderabad
on Monday night. Suryanarayana, working for
the Bahrain based Almayed group in
Afg-hanistan. “I had come here (to the
airport) to see my son off a few months
back, and now I have come here to collect
his body,” Mr Chandras-ekhar said. The
coffin, drap-ed in the national tricolour,
was taken to his residence at East Anandbagh,
Malkajgiri. The last rites will be conducted
at Sardar Patel Nagar funeral grounds in
Malkajgiri on Tuesday.
Suryanarayana’s family received condolence
messages from all over the cou-ntry.
President A.P.J. Kalam and Congress Chief
Sonia Gandhi sent personal letters to them.
Mrs Gandhi wrote, “I was shocked at the
murder of your husband. My party and I join
the nation in paying homage to the courage
and sacrifice of Suryanarayana.”
