A polyglot, He could speak 17 languages,
including Urdu, Marathi, Hindi, Telugu and
English with fluency akin to
a native speaker. His mothertongue was Telugu.
Along with Devulapalli Ramanuja He and Sri
Kaloji Narayana Rao, a great human rights
activist in India, P.V. edited a Telugu
bi-weekly magazine called "Kakatiya" in his
early 20's. His father's name was P. V. Ranga
Rao. They belonged to a poor Brahmin family from
a village called "Vangara(pedda)" in Karimnagar
District of Andhra Pradesh, India. He
also learned several European languages
that are typically not spoken in India,
including French and Spanish.

He was the
president of the Bharatiya Janata
Party 2002 to 2004,
which is currently the
biggest opposition party in the Parliament
of India. He resigned on October 18, 2004
after taking
responsibility for his party's
defeat in the election in Maharashtra.
The
post was taken up by L.K. Advani.Naidu was
installed
as BJP president after
Krishnamurthy quit in 2002.On January
28,
2004, he was elected unopposed for a full 3
year term
which was eventually cut short.On
January 29, 2005, his
helicopter was set on
fire by suspected Maoists during his
campaign tour of Gaya, Bihar. At that time,
he was addressing
an election rally nearby
and escaped unhurt..

Dr. Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (born
1949), popularly known as Y.S.R. He is
Roman Catholic, his grandfather
having been converted by British
missionaries.Y.S.R. is a medical science
graduate from the M.R. College of Gulbarga. He
did his House-Surgency in SV Medical College,
Tirupathi.Upon completion of his MBBS degree, he
served as Medical Officer at CSI Campbell
Hospital, Jammalamadugu, for a brief period of
time.
Reddy is a second-generation
Christian. His father, Mr. Raja
Reddy, while serving in the military
in Burma came across Christian
missionaries and although a firm
believer in Hinduism soon converted
to Christianity. After returning to
India, he was despised by his own
caste folk and shunted out of the

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 1

he was sworn in on 11 October 1999 as the
Chief
Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the
second term. He was
elected with a majority
of more than 65,000 votes.
