Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao has taken strong exception to the
demand of certain Congress leaders for separation of Hyderabad from rest of
Telangana, in case a separate state has to be formed.
“Hyderabad is like the head of Telangana. As a matter of fact, Hyderabad is
nothing but Telangana. We don’t need Telangana without its head,” VH said.
The Telangana students and teachers joint action forum also decried the argument
of ministers Danam Nagender and Mukesh Goud that Hyderabad should be made a
union territory. “These two ministers are trying to protect the interests of Y S
Jaganmohan Reddy. We will kick them out to Pulivendula,” the association leaders
said.
