The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS)
president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is planning to continue with his
fast-unto-death at least for a week despite his poor health.
Dr M.V. Rao, the personal physician of the TRS chief said the latter will not be
able to fast for more than two days due to a low BP, diabetes, frail body and
other health related problems. Mr Rao has planned to start the fast at his
native Siddipet from November 29.
The TRS chief plans to go underground to tone up his health in Konyapally
village near Siddipet, where he often goes to offer prayers to Lord
Venkateshwara temple.
“Mr Rao’s health condition is not that good. There are multiple problems,” Dr
Rao said.
The police has information that the TRS is planning violence. Sources said the
state government is planning two options: house arrest of Mr Rao before he
starts his fast or forcibly end the fast after one or two days in view of his
poor health.
Meanwhile, the TRS has planned a rasta roko and rail roko particularly for New
Delhi and other north-bound trains to curtail buses going towards coastal
districts from November 29.
