Mr. Prabhakar, who had to resign from ETV is said to have been
invited by Maa TV. Knowing pretty well his talent, the channel which
is recording a steady growth in its TRPs for the past two months,
has moved this proposal soon after he left ETV.
However, Maa TV management had a problem in two ways. First, their
own CEO Mr. Sharrat Marar is against Prabhakar's induction since his
friend Mr. Sai Prasad is the Content Head now. So he doesn't want a
person who can think more than what he could. The other issue being
the huge amount demanded by Mr. Prabhakar. The management has
finally found out a way for the second problem. Prabhakar will be
paid a fixed amount every month as salary and depending on the GRPs
( Gross Rating Points ) of the programmes directly handled by him,
an additional amount calculated on a scale agreeable to both the
parties will be paid.
Unless Maa TV's CEO strongly protests and convince the management
against his entry, Mr. Prabhakar is likely to join Maa TV in a week.

NEVER GIVE up in the face of adversity. Prabhakar believed it and
persisted with his goal. Like all other aspirants who dream of
making it big in tinsel town, his first steps were rather tentative.
But he remained focussed and eight years later, finds himself
acknowledged and awarded.
Prabhakar, who won top popularity ratings of viewers to win the
Vaartha-Vasavi award in the best actor category, is a regular face
on ETV for the last few years. Take any popular serial on ETV and
one finds this versatile actor livening up the proceedings with his
performance.
Making a debut with the path-breaking serial, Ruthu Ragalu on
Doordarshan in 1996, Prabhakar slowly but steadily secured his
position as a dependable actor in the industry. "The initial
struggle taught me not to take things easy. I never relax and
constantly engage in improvising and bettering my skills," he says.
The soft-spoken actor's restrained performance was applauded in
serials like Enda Mavulu, Santosham, Padmavyuham, Agnigundam and
Panjaram - all runaway hits on ETV.
The experience gained from more than 20 daily serials and about 15
weekly serials came handy for Prabhakar as he was made the creative
head of the channel and is presently handling four productions
including Dupes and Andhrawala.
Over the years, he has also been involved in lending his voice to
several actors including Sai Kiran, Prabhu Deva, Vineet and Akash.
"In just a few years, I dubbed for more than 30 actors in films," he
says.
The success on telly had big screen opportunities knocking his door.
"Right now, I am very busy with these productions. I might wait till
the year end before seriously considering the movie offers," says
Prabhakar, whose impeccable credentials include a gold medal that he
earned in Theatre Arts course from the Osmania University.
