Kancha Ilaiah

Kancha Ilaiah is an social activist, thinker and scholar. He was born into Kuruma Golla family on October 5, 1952. He is Dalit intellectual and Professor and Chairman of Political Science, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is an out-spoken activist in the Dalitbahujan (Scheduled and Backwards Castes) and civil liberties movement.A prolific author of numerous books and articles in both English and Telegu, Dr. Ilaiah recently finished a Post Doctoral Fellowship in the United States to finish up his most recent book.

 His book, Why I Am Not A Hindu has been a best-seller in India.
