Rajya Sabha member and managing director of Vaartha daily Girish Sanghi seems to be desperately trying to take advantage of Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's war against the other two major dailies Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi.

He is making all efforts to come closer to the Chief Minister. He has revived his visits to the peshi of YSR and also KVP Ramachandra Rao. He is giving prominence to the Chief Minister's statements in his daily, while attacking the Opposition parties. Recently, Girish Sanghi celebrated his birthday in a pompous manner, putting up banners and posters all over the city, inviting film celebrities and other prominent people in the city. He wanted to make use of this opportunity to woo the Chief Minister. He personally met the Chief Minister and invited him to the birthday party; made frantic calls to the CM peshi to follow up and reporters of his daily also had regular contacts with the officials to see that YSR attends the party.
